Luke Working on a New TV Series?

This morning Luke tweeted:
In Budapest with @augustusprew working hard on a new project! such fun x

So we were all wondering what this “new project” is when @augustusprew filled in the blanks by tweeting:
@NancyB31 Project with luke is called ‘The Borgias’… New tv show set in renaissance italy.

Sounds interesting! Upon doing a little research, I discovered that The Borgias is a new Canada/Hungary/Ireland co-production similar to The Tudors. Most articles I read say that it will premiere in 2011 on CTV and Bravo! in Canada and on Showtime in the USA. The series stars Jeremy Irons, Colm Feore, among others. My guess is that Luke is guest starring. I’ll try and keep you guys posted!

A new interview with Luke has surfaced from Monte Carlo. It’s from a French news source so obviously the whole thing is in French. But you can read a rough translation of it here at Fan Forum. He doesn’t talk about Freffy, but I thought it was still worth posting since he mentions the Skins movie and talks about his fans & Freddie. It’s a really good interview actually.

Skins Movie Press Release

Skins, the sex, drink and drug-fuelled drama that depicts teenage life as it often is rather than how parents imagine it, is to migrate to the big screen.

After a year of speculation about the E4 show, producers today confirmed that shooting would begin in September on a film to be released in summer 2011.

Steve Christian, executive producer on the film and chair of the film finance and distribution company CinemaNX, said the show – which few could accuse of presenting a sanitised picture of adolescence – was perfect for the big screen. But he added: “The biggest critics of Skins are the Skins fans so it’s going to be a big challenge. The programme has this incredible fanbase despite all the characters changing.” Read More?

…Meh. We don’t know if Kaya is in it yet so we’ll wait and see I guess.

The Apparition Release Date

Well… this kind of sucks. Warner Bros. just announced the release date for The Apparition and it’s over a year away! As of right now it is scheduled to be released on Sept. 9, 2011. Yes, you read that right. 2011. Hopefully it’s worth the wait. And hopefully Luke’s character doesn’t die.

We’re also still waiting to hear something about Kaya in Wuthering Heights. She was supposed to start shooting soon so perhaps it’s been pushed back?
